All profits from The Hydra Ride go to Friends of Lethbridge Primary School (FOL), registered charity 291895. After running costs the 2022 event raised £1,400 profit all of which went to FOL.
FOL raises funds to enhance the education of the 500 children who attend Lethbridge Primary School. In recent years FOL funds have provided a suite of 40 iPads with a mobile charging station to enable interactive teaching, a new library has been kitted out and filled with books to give children access to a wide range of reading, the playground markings have been repainted to better facilitate physical education and stimulate break time activities and a school-wide all-day STEM workshop was paid for to create interest in science and technology.
The organisers of The Hydra give their time for free, claim no expenses nor take any profit from the event.
